Antique opal cabochon set in 9 carat rose gold. An oval shaped opal is cabochon cut and set into a bright rose gold rub over setting. The band is narrow by the opal, widening slightly at the back. The opal shows mostly green and blue play of colour. Circa 1900s - 1920s, British in origin.

Marked as 9ct for 9 carat gold and tested as such.
