Gorgeous antique opal doublet and diamond pendant. This filigree pendant is stuff dreams are made of! A large opal with great play of colour in greens, blues and oranges is bezel set in an ornately adorned frame. This surround, studded with 14 small diamonds is pierced into a floral design with little polished beads subtly glittering as they catch the light and further outlined by a delicate beaded edge. Opal is the birthstone for October. Circa early 20th century, 1910s - 1930.

Opal: doublet, measuring approx 19.7 mm by 12.1 mm. Wonderful play of colour with blues, greens and oranges shining at this piece moves.

Diamonds: 14, roughly cut in varying sizes. No accurate calculation of their weight can be given due to their size and cut style.

There's an illegible mark on the loop. Professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat gold.

Measures approx 36 mm / 1.45 inches tall not including the bail by 17.8 mm / 0.70 inches at widest point.

Weighs 2.9 grams.
