Old mine cut diamond engagement ring two tone gold engagement ring. This classic engagement ring is a beauty! An old mine diamond is a slightly elongated cushion shape and secured in triple claw prongs. The antique diamond is hand cut and is an absolute stunner. Flanking the centre diamond are three smaller single cut diamonds. The Art Deco era mounting is two tone, one of my favourite looks, and it gives the ring several of choices of coordinating wedding bands. Circa 1930s - 1950 engagement ring, the diamond is probably earlier based on cut. The diamond fits the mounting perfectly which may mean that it's an older family or inhered diamond which had a mounting made for it a generation or two later.
Diamond: old mine cut centre measuring approx 5.36 mm by 4.98 mm and calculated as 0.74 carats, M / N colour, VS1 clarity within the limits of the mounting. 6 single cut diamonds calculated as 0.09 carats and within the near colourless and eye clean range.
Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the tips of the claws in platinum.
