Old European cut diamond stud earrings. I love these earrings! They have been converted from a Victorian piece of jewellery. The antique old cut diamonds are set in pinched collets. The largest diamond is at the bottom creating an exclamation point style that I adore so much. The bar is narrow coming to a knife edge on the top and widen toward the base or back side and curving up to the top. Because the bars are narrow to the front with polished gold flat sides they shine in the light as the wearer turns their head. The diamonds are set in a pinched silver collet, very much typical of their time period. It wasn't until the Edwardian era that platinum became common in jewellery use and until the Art Deco era that white gold became common in jewellery. Circa mid to late 19th century diamonds set in bars, we've made the posts and added brand new backs.
