Sparkly antique old cut diamond ear studs. These are just super earrings! The old mine cut diamonds are beautifully set in eight claw mountings. The diamonds, true antique cuts, are wonderfully wonky attesting to the cutting of the time which would have been done by hand rather than lasers as it commonly used for modern diamonds. Because the lighting was different at the time, gemstones were cut differently with high crowns and chunkier facet patterns, allowing them to catch the candle light of the day. How incredibly romantic! The diamonds date to around 1860s - 1880s and the settings are circa 30-50 years later.
In excellent condition, these are wonderful sparklers! In the photo with similar earrings these are the ones on the top left.
