A beautiful pair of antique French rose cut diamond drop earrings!  Rose cut diamonds are set into platinum topped settings.  The larger bottom diamond is set into an ornate pierced buttercup style setting.  The pierced design, which can be seen from the side look to be stylised like a crown.  These pierced earrings secure with lever back style clasps which click audibly when secured in place.  Circa late 19th, early 20th century, French in origin.

Diamonds: 4, rose cut.  Top measure approx 1.6 mm and bottom diamonds measures approx 2.5 mm.

Hallmarked with the eagle's head, the French hallmark for 18 carat gold.  The diamonds are set in platinum topped settings.

Measure 14 mm top to bottom and 7.25 mm at widest point.

Weigh 3.3 grams.
