Excellent and unique French silver long guard chain.  This chain features small round links patterned with a very tactile beaded design.  Spaced around this chain are larger faceted silver beads.  Both ends of the chain are secured to a small dog clip which swivels.  Circa late 19th, early 20th century, French in origin.

Hallmarked on the chain ends, looks like a crab, the French hallmark for 800 - 900 silver, but worn.  Tested as 800 - 900 silver, slight below the modern standard of 925.

Measures 66 cm / 26 inches double which is 132 cm / 52 inches of chain if this chain could be fastened.  Measures just under 5 mm wide at the widest point.

Weighs approx 20.65 grams.
