Five stone graduated design diamond ring set in 18 carat yellow gold with platinum tips. This ring is set with five old cut diamonds. The centre diamond is an old mine cut and the side diamonds are old European cut diamonds. Each diamond is bezel set in 18 carat yellow gold with the top in platinum. White metals have always been the common and popular way to set diamonds, in part because it makes them appears whiter and brighter. The diamonds are graduated in size with the largest measuring approx 2.7 mm, the next at 2.3 mm and the end diamonds measuring approx 2 mm. The graduation is flattering to wear and looks lovely. A bright yellow gold band tapers up to a point where it meets the diamonds. Circa 1910s, European in origin.

Diamonds: 5 mixed old cut diamonds, measure from approx 2 mm to 2.7 mm each and are calculated in setting as 0.23 carats total weight, I to K colour, SI clarity.

Hallmarked as 18ct & Pt. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the very top edges of the rub over setting in platinum.
