Antique old mine cut diamond pendant crafted in 18 carat yellow gold. A bold and shiny oval shaped pendant is hand engraved with a star burst design into which a sizeable, 0.33ctw, old cut diamond diamond is set. The diamond is nice and sparkly against the polished gold background. The stars points reach nearly to the boarder inside of which is a stylish engraved oval bevelled edge. The diamond is a seriously chunky cut! It's a great size and has all the wonderful classic elements of an old mine cut diamond that we all love! Circa late Victorian era, around 1880s.

I think this piece has been converted and was likely originally a cuff link or similar. It's in great condition and is ready to wear an a pendant!

Diamond: old mine cut of approx 4.1 mm and calculated as 0.33 carats, I / J colour, I1 clarity within the limits of the mounting.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold which is yellow in colour.

Measures approx 19 mm / 0.76 inches tall not including the bail, by 12.7 mm / 0.50 inches wide, and 3 mm deep at back side of diamond's collet, 1.1 mm deep on gold disc.

Weighs 2.4 grams.
