Stunning Edwardian to Art Deco emerald and diamond engagement ring. A beautiful medium green emerald glows from the middle of a diamond halo. There are eight old single cut diamonds framing the emerald and each of the gemstones is bead set with small prongs. The edges of the top of this ring dip gently between each of the diamonds. The gemstones are set into a platinum top and the vivid yellow gold shank tapers gently as it nears the top making this ring really stand out. Circa 1900 - 1930s, British in origin.

Emerald: medium to dark green round cut. Approx 2.75 mm and estimated in setting as 0.08 carats. The emerald shows some inclusions and facet wear commensurate with age.

Diamonds: 8, approx 0.16 carats total weight, all H / I colour, SI clarity.

Hallmarked as 18ct Plat. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
