Antique diamond drop earrings dating to the Edwardian era. These are gorgeous! Gold wire hooks end at a pair of leaf shapes each set with small 1.3 mm rose cut diamonds. At their base is a set of three diamond shapes which are set with old single cut diamonds and outlined in the finest and most delicate milgrain beading. At the based is a small rose cut diamond attached to the top of a circle. This domed circle is bezel set with a old mine cut diamond to the centre from which four elongated lab-created sapphires splay on an engraved, matte background. On either side of the sapphires are small roughly diamonds in a half moon and accented by a beaded edge.

From the front, these dangle earrings appear entirely white from the ear wire down, while the gold can see seen peaking from the sides as they move. The work on these earrings is exquisite. Circa 1900. Believed French in origin based on style.

Diamonds: centre old mine cut of approx 2.25 mm each to total 0.08 carats. Each earring also contains 6 mixed old single cut and rose diamonds of approx 1.3 mm, and 4 roughly cut diamonds of approx 0.85 mm.
