Antique diamond engagement ring in the form of a daisy cluster. Nine diamonds make a gorgeous flower. The largest diamond, an old European cut, is bezel set in the centre. The eight surrounding diamonds are bead set making a little scalloped edged design. This ring is lower profile on a slender tapered shank of gold topped in platinum. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.
Diamonds: 9 total. Centre old European cut of approx 2.5 mm, 0.06 carats. 8 old single cut diamonds of approx 1.7- 2 mm, 0.02 - 0.03 carats each. Total carat weight as estimated within the limits of the mounting is 0.25 carats. Bright and sparkly to eye with some variations in colour and clarity under magnification.
Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the top edges in platinum.
