Incredible chrysoberyl pendant in an Etruscan revival style. A lovely and bright yellowish green oval cut chrysoberyl is claw set in a closed back setting. The gemstone has a high crown and an open culet. A gold fan design frames the gemstone. This surround is formed of little graduating beads to the left and right with a coiled design where they meet to the north and south. The dipped profile gives this pendant a lot of visual appeal. Circa late 19th century gemstone and setting, we've added a bail.

Chrysoberyl: oval cut, yellowish green colour, approx 5.8 mm by 4.8 mm, due to the closed back the weight cannot be accurately calculated.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, the gold plate at the back of the gemstone is gold filled.

Measures approx 16.3 mm tall not including the bail by 15.5 mm across the pendant.

Weighs 1.5 grams.
