Elegant antique 9 carat gold hook with a sweet ridged detail. A very useful jewellery item indeed! This hook probably fastened an Albertina or was used on a watch chain back when it was made. Today it's a handy piece to use to display and hang pendants and charms. Alternatively, use it as a necklace chain end which has the benefit of extending a neck chain just a bit. Circa mid to late 19th century.

In very good condition. The bail swivels.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold which is yellow in colour.

Measures approx 29.2 mm / 1.15 inches tall by 10.9 mm / 0.43 inches wide at widest point. Wire forming the hook is 1.25 mm round wire.
