Antique 9 carat gold locket. This circular locket is heavily engraved with a foliate style design. In the centre is a puffed heart engraved with an equally ornate pattern. The heart is a sweet one, kinda hidden in the design, and unlike any we've seen before. The back side is plain and shiny with clear hallmarks dating this piece to 1918.

In very good condition showing only slight signs of wear. Inside are two frames, one is a replacement. There are no photo coverings.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Chester 1918. The gold is between modern yellow and rose gold.

Measures approx 26.5 mm / 1 inch tall not including bail by 23.6 mm / 0.93 inches wide.

Weighs 4 grams.

This locket can be added to a modern 9 carat gold chain, as shown on model. Please choose the length you require at checkout. We've shown it on yellow gold as in person that matched more closely to our eyes, though really either works. If you'd prefer a rose gold chain just let us know!
