Antique 9 carat gold chain extender. The Victorian chain is crafted from classic and timeless curb links which have their original Victorian gold stamps. At one end is a jump ring, and the other has a dog clip. A lot of antique chains, originally made for gentlemen's watches, are too short for how they are typically worn now, by women as neck chains. We've soldered the terminating jump ring closed so that it's ready to wear!

In very good condition. The terminating jump ring is a slightly different colour, a chemical change from when we heated that link to solder it together. With wear it'll patina again to better blend.

9 . 375 stamp on the dog clip. Each link stamped 9 . 375 (some are worn) Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. The gold is between rose and yellow gold, much more warm than modern red gold, but probably closer to rose gold in colour.

Measures approx 70 mm / 2.75 inches in wearable length. Curb links are approx 4.8 mm wide. Terminating jump ring has a internal diameter of 3.2 mm and the large dog clip, which does not swivel, is 21.5 mm long by 7.7 mm wide.
