Antique 9 carat yellow gold long guard chain. This chain is made from simple belcher style links, small, rounded, open links. Both ends of the chain are secured to a large jump ring which is attached to a small dog clip. The dog clip is decorated with a faceted design which is just lovely! The clip is very springy, closes tightly and allows a pendant, locket, watch or similar ornament to easily be worn. Circa 1890s - 1910s, British in origin.

Marked 9c on a tag by the dog clip and tested as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures approx 122 cm / 48 inches long, and is approx 2.35 mm wide
