Antique 18 carat gold charm hook. Not only a very useful and practical jewellery item, but also an antique original making it a rare find indeed! The base is bulbous with the neck tapering a bit before ending at a wider end. To the top the bail swivels freely and that combined with the narrowed neck makes it ideal for using as a chain end or hook to display pendants. Circa mid to late 19th century.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold which is yellow in colour.

Measures approx 27.3 mm / 1.1 inches tall by 10.8 mm / 0.42 inches wide at widest point. Wire forming the hook is approx 1.6 mm to 1.95 mm, tapered a bit throughout the shape.

Weighs 2.5 grams.
