Vintage 1950s 9 carat yellow gold charm. This charm holds a ten shilling note and on the side says "In Emergency Break Glass". The actual covering for the bank note is plastic as was typical. Bank note charms were popular in the mid 20th century and make an excellent addition to a charm bracelet or layered necklaces and pendants. We've added this one to a narrow 9 carat yellow gold trace chain for just that purpose. Circa 1950s charm with modern chain.

Charm fully hallmarked on the back for 9 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1955. Modern chain is marked on the terminating jump ring.
