Classic vintage diamond engagement ring dating to the 1940s. This two-toned 14 carat white and yellow gold ring is such a beautiful piece! The round brilliant cut diamond is set in a square shaped setting in 14 carat white gold. The square shape is designed to make the diamond look larger than it is. On either side of the diamond the shoulders are engraved in a beaded pattern and each set with a single eight cut diamond. The narrow band is 14 carat yellow gold. This lovely design is a 1940s classic with the protective square shaped illusion setting, the higher set diamond, and the two tone gold design. The higher setting isn't too high at 5.7 mm and allows a wedding band to sit nicely. North American in origin.

The inside of this ring is marked for the marker Orange Blossom and reads both Orange Blossom as well as having the little symbol of the 2 T's in a circle. It is also marked "14K x 22". The diamond size calculates to 0.22 carats so we believe the 22 engraved on the inside of the band was the original marker's mark to note the diamond size.

Diamonds: centre round brilliant cut, approx 4.05 mm and estimated in setting as 0.22 carat, K / L colour, VS2 clarity. Two accent eight cut diamonds, approx 0.03 carats together.

Marked 14K for 14 carat gold and tested as such.

Size: UK - N; US - 6 3/4; EU - 17.1. This ring can be sized down to J / 4.8. To resize larger it would need to be partially reshanked to thicken the shank. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 5.85 mm wide at the top and rises 5.7 mm tall off the finger. Tapers to 1 mm wide at the back of the band.

Weighs 1.85 grams.
