Vintage diamond engagement ring set with a gorgeous old European cut in a square shape. The 0.70 carat (est) diamond has wonderful proportions with the classic smaller table, higher crown and larger open culet typical of old cut diamonds. It's secured in four claws in a scallop topped square. The style of this top is designed to reflect light back to the viewer. Framing the diamond is a solid, polished vertical bar. Stepped down is a horizontal section set with two diamonds on each side. These point down to a knife edge band.

This engagement ring is classic late Art Deco in style. The centre diamond is already large with the style of the mounting making it look even larger. The polished bars to the sides and the accent diamond setting are bold, with strong, straight lines which are typical of Art Deco style. Circa 1930s - 1950.

Diamonds: old European cut measuring approx 5.36 mm to 5.39 mm and calculated as 0.70 carats, K / L colour, SI2 clarity within the limits of the mounting. The diamond has very strong blue fluorescence which can make diamonds appear more white.
4 single cut accent diamonds of approx 1.7 mm each calculated as 0.08 carats, H - J colour, VS1 - SI1 clarity within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 10% IRID PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as platinum.

Size: UK - N.5; US - 7; EU - 17,25. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15,8 and R / 8.75 / 18,75, resizing larger may require a partial reshank. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 6.7 mm wide by 7 mm deep at centre stone. 1.2 mm wide at back centre.
