Mid 20th century square shaped diamond engagement ring. Twelve eight cut diamonds are pave set to form a frame around a centre round brilliant cut diamond. The centre diamond is set slightly higher than the surrounding diamonds. The shoulders are sloped and in keeping with the bold design are also square in shape with a flat top and sides. This ring has a substantial weight, feels nice to wear, and is beautiful with the diamonds sparkling everywhere! Circa 1960s, British in origin. Crafted by Charles Green & Son, a family jeweller since the 1820s who is still in business today.
Diamonds: 13, brilliant cut and eight cut. Total approx approx 0.28 carats, I to K colour, VS clarity.
Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham.
