I love statement rings! Large and bold, they can really set off an outfit and look great with a little black dress. This blue topaz is set in yellow gold in a Victorian style setting. The oval cut blue topaz is held by four sets of double claw prongs. The undercarriage is decorated in arches which come up the side of the topaz. A well built shank gives this ring a sturdy feel and makes it easy to wear. Circa 1960s - 1970s.

The gold undercarriage has had some work done to it and some of the arches repaired.

Blue topaz: 15.95 x 12.25 mm, estimated at about 8 carats. The topaz shows some signs of wear which can be seen under a loupe.

Hallmarks: worn, tests as 9 carat gold.
